Garret's eyes

As some of you noticed in the last few posts Garret's eyes don't always line up correctly. We finally were are to see the Pediatric Ophthalmologist last week and Garret will be having surgery on both eyes in 2 weeks. He will have his pre-op appointment on Dec. 8 and his surgery will be in the afternoon of Dec. 10. It will be outpatient surgery, so no overnight stays for us, which is a good thing. We are very hopeful that this will completely correct his vision, but we will not know for a few weeks after surgery if it worked or not. If it does not work they will repeat the surgery. The surgery has an 80% success rate. The studies that have been done have shown that each child has an average of 1.8 surgeries. We hope that Garret will be one of the lucky ones that only has to have 1 surgery.
