How many teeth can one child lose at a time?

Kayleigh has lost two teeth in just over a week. She pulled out the first one on the way home from school by herself on Friday, September 12 and Kris pulled the other one out this past Monday, September 22. Both of them have been her bottom front teeth. She was able to bend her bottom teeth completely sideways before they fell out which was pretty gross. I basically made Kris pull the second one out because Kayleigh was grossing me and everyone else out by bending all over the place.

Both of her top teeth are loose right now. Kris told her last night she better get the bottom two back before she loses the top two or she won’t be able to bite anything. The first tooth she lost already has the adult tooth sticking out of her gums. If you look closely in the picture you can see it poking through and her tooth beside it at an angle.

I thought kids went a while in between each tooth they lost, but not Kayleigh. I guess she is losing teeth like she had them come in. I remember when she was a baby she got 6 teeth in a very short amount of time. Her baby book is still packed up somewhere, so I am just going by memory, but I think it was 2-3 weeks time span that she had 6 teeth come in. Maybe we will find it while we work on cleaning out more of the basement this weekend. :)
Just another way Garret is different. He gets a new tooth about every month and he didn’t start getting any teeth until he right before his 1st birthday.
