Updates on our lives!!!

I am trying to upload new pictures to the blog tonight, but blogger is not cooperating with me. ARRGH!!! So I guess I will just update you on our life and try again tomorrow to upload pictures.

Most of you know that Kris made it home safely from the NCOA two weeks ago. Since then we have been enjoying our time together. He took the first week off of work, so it was wonderful to have him home with us. When he went back to work on Monday he had to sign for his test date for Master. Well he thought that when you were TDY you had a window of time where you could not test after returning, but that is not correct. He signed for his test date last Monday and will be testing this Wednesday. Which is also in the middle of an exercise. He will be working nights for the exercise and test during the day on Wednesday. The exercise kicked off this past Friday (I think) and will end the next Friday, so he has had to work this weekend as well.

Last Tuesday we celebrated Kris' birthday and surprised him with a cake at lunchtime. He was very quick to point out that I had ordered the type of cake I like the most. So I guess for our anniversary on Thursday I will have to make him a German Chocolate cake since he says that is what he thinks is his favorite type of cake is.

Garret has been doing more things as well. He has finally decided that he wants to move around (well on somedays he does). He is not crawling yet, but he can roll anywhere that he wants to or he will scoot around on his back. He has not said his first word yet, but he can say the sounds "mama, dada, baba, byebye, hi, hey, and I think a few more, but I can't remember right now. If we start trying to get him to repeat us he will normally stop talking. He can be a very stubborn little boy! :) He is doing good with eating also. He eats snack with the girls most days and eats what they eat, but for breakfast, lunch, and dinner he is still mainly eating baby food. He still has NO teeth. I check everyday, but none yet. He still LOVES Kayleigh a ton. He will smile and laugh at her all of the time. I can't wait until he is mobile enough to chase her around. She will sit him on his little ride on toy and push him around the house and he loves it.

Kayleigh is still doing cheerleading, dance, and Girl Scouts. Once of her dance classes is a competition class. They will be competing in April and May. They had a practice this past Saturday where the Moms came in to learn the dance, so we can help them to work on it at home. Not sure how much help I will be, but I guess I at least have the general idea of what she is suppose to do now. They are dancing to the Hannah Montana song "The Best of Both Worlds."

I am officially licensed by the State, the Base FCC office, and USDA now for childcare. My name went out on the newset base FCC lisiting on Friday, so we will see how soon I start getting calls. Now I could be inspected by any of the 3 different places at anytime and they will mainly all be unannounced. I HATE having to be inspected for anything, even when I was teaching in a classroom, but in a way I guess unannounced inspections are the best because I tend to stress way too much when I know I am going to be inspected for anything.

Our weather warmed up to the low 50s for a day or two, but then we had about 4-5 inches of snow last night, so the warm weather had just been to tease us I guess! :( It felt so nice to be able to leave my front door open and let the sunlight in through the glass door the last few days of last week and for part of the day on Saturday. The temperature dropped and the snow started right around the time Kris left for work yesterday.

We are also working hard to redo our website, so hopefully that will be up a running on our new hosting company soon.

Well I guess I will end here and hopefully I will be able to upload some new pictures soon.
